7. Myth: Children Don’t Want To Be Homeschooled
Truth: Maybe someone, somewhere, has forced their unwilling child to homeschool but I can’t imagine why or how they did that. Homeschooling is a team effort all around. Having an unwilling participant in any role won’t work. There is no principal to send your disruptive kid to.

That isn’t to say that children will love every minute of homeschooling. Every day can’t be perfect. We need to step back sometimes and tweak our schedules or reevaluate our curriculum to make sure that we are all engaged. But as the old saying goes: You can lead a horse to water but you can’t make them drink. An unwilling child isn’t going to learn anything.
