How It Works
In a vasectomy, the doctor cuts, ties, or blocks the vas deferens, the tubes through which sperm leave the testes. Sperm are absorbed by the body instead. The man can still ejaculate, but he can't get anyone pregnant because there are no sperm in his semen.
